Booking and payment
How do I book a ski day tour?
Use the enquiry form on any tour page or send us an email at [email protected] with the date, hotel name, number of skiers and preferred resort. We reply within one working day with availability and a confirmation link.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. On weekends and during Spanish school holidays our winter capacity fills up two to three weeks ahead. Midweek bookings outside holidays can often be confirmed with just a few days' notice.
Do I pay in advance?
We ask for a 30% deposit to confirm the booking, with the balance paid on the day of the tour. Deposits are refundable up to seven days before the tour date.
What currencies do you accept?
All prices are in Euros. We accept bank transfer, PayPal and all major credit cards for the deposit. Cash in Euros is fine for the balance on the day.
Skill level and experience
I have never skied before — can I come?
Not on these tours, no. Our day tours are built around getting a confident intermediate or advanced skier onto good pistes quickly, with no formal instruction time. If you have never skied before you will have a better first experience on a 2-3 day stay at a resort with ski school lessons.
What skill level do you require?
You should be comfortable on red runs in parallel turns, controlling speed and able to use chairlifts and gondolas without help. If you can ski a blue run with confidence but hesitate on red, you will still enjoy Masella — mention your level when booking.
Can we snowboard instead of ski?
Yes. All three Catalan and Andorran resorts are fully snowboard-friendly and the equipment rental shops stock all sizes. Mention snowboarding when you book and we'll adjust the kit list.
Are children welcome?
Children over 8 who can ski red runs independently are welcome. The private minivan has booster seats on request. The Pyrenees road trip tour (no skiing) is suitable for all ages.
The day itself
What time is the pick-up?
Pick-up is from your Barcelona hotel or apartment between 06:30 and 07:30 depending on the resort — Grandvalira in Andorra is the earliest start because it is the longest drive.
What is included and what do I pay for on the mountain?
The transfer, driver-guide, bottled water and coffee stop are included. You pay separately on the mountain for the lift pass (around €55–65), equipment rental if you need it (around €25–30) and your own lunch.
Do I need my own ski clothing?
Yes. Please bring your own ski jacket, trousers, gloves, goggles, helmet and warm layers. We can suggest Barcelona rental shops if you need to hire outerwear for the week.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If a resort closes its lifts because of weather we offer to switch to another resort if conditions allow, reschedule for another day in your stay, or refund in full. We will contact you the evening before if the forecast looks problematic.
Can you pick us up from a cruise ship or the airport?
Yes. We can collect you from Port of Barcelona cruise terminals or BCN airport. There may be a small supplement depending on the time; mention it when you enquire.
Which resort to pick
Which resort has the best snow?
Grandvalira in Andorra, almost always. It is at higher altitude, further from the Mediterranean and has more extensive snowmaking. Masella and La Molina have reliable snow from mid-December to early March in a normal season.
Which resort is closest to Barcelona?
La Molina — about two hours door-to-door by minivan. Masella is 15 minutes further; Grandvalira is 45 minutes further still.
What is the difference between Masella and La Molina?
They share a lift-linked ski area (Alp 2500). Masella is sunnier, quieter, with longer tree-lined runs. La Molina is busier, has a strong snowpark, hosts World Cup events and has a direct train from Barcelona. Both are good — pick La Molina if you want atmosphere, Masella if you want space.
