Masella Day Ski Tour
Masella is the quieter half of the Alp 2500 ski area — long tree-lined runs, sunny south-facing pistes, and far fewer queues than its neighbour. Perfect for an unhurried piste day two hours from Barcelona.
Three ski-day tours to the Pyrenean resorts closest to Barcelona, plus a non-skiing scenic road trip across three countries in one day. All tours are private — your group only, in a dedicated minivan with an English-speaking driver-guide.
Masella is the quieter half of the Alp 2500 ski area — long tree-lined runs, sunny south-facing pistes, and far fewer queues than its neighbour. Perfect for an unhurried piste day two hours from Barcelona.
La Molina is the busier, racier side of Alp 2500 — Spain's first lift-served ski resort, with a strong snowpark, a World Cup descent course, and the fastest access from Barcelona by rail or road.
Grandvalira is the largest ski area in the Pyrenees — 210 km of pistes across six sectors in Andorra, higher altitude, drier snow, and a different country to end the day in. Longer drive, bigger reward.
Three countries in a single day. A long, scenic private road trip from Barcelona across two mountain passes into France and back through Andorra. Not a skiing tour — this is a landscape and border-hopping day for travellers who want more than a city break.
Vallnord Pal-Arinsal is Andorra's second-largest ski area and the quieter, more family-oriented alternative to Grandvalira. 63 km of pistes under the highest peak in Andorra (2,942 m), a direct cable car from the La Massana village centre, and considerably fewer weekend crowds than its bigger sibling across the valley.
Port del Comte is the closest ski resort to Barcelona — just 150 km, less than two hours door-to-door. Pre-Pyrenean, lower altitude (base 1,700 m), 42 km of mostly sun-facing pistes, and a true family-first atmosphere. The right choice for a short city break where losing a full day to driving isn't appealing.
A winter day in the snow without the lifts, the queues or the technical skill. Snowshoeing is walking with wider, floating snowshoes strapped to your boots — anyone who can hike can do it. We drive you to a quiet forested trailhead in the Catalan Pyrenees and spend four or five hours walking through snowy pine woods.
The same Pyrenean valleys we visit all winter, in a very different mood: wildflower meadows in June, long warm days in July and August, autumn colour in October. Our summer hiking day picks one of three classic Cerdanya routes — Nuria valley, Carlit massif approach, or the Puigpedros high meadows — adjusted to your fitness and preferences.
You tell us when you're in Barcelona and which resort appeals. We pick you up early in the morning from your hotel in a private minivan, drive you to the resort, help you with equipment rental and the lift pass, and let you ski at your own pace for the day. At the end of the afternoon we collect you from the resort car park and drive you back to your Barcelona accommodation.
One driver-guide per minivan. Maximum six skiers per group. Operating season for the ski tours is December to early April. The Pyrenees road trip runs all year.
Our resort comparison article is the best starting point if you're choosing between Masella, La Molina and Grandvalira. If you'd like something that isn't one of these four tours, we also build custom private tours on request.
